Version 1.0, effective 1 November 2026
These School Terms apply when a school or licensed tutoring centre (the "Institution") subscribes to A* Quiz (astarquiz.com), operated by Jannah Integrated Solutions Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales (the "Company"). The Institution accepts them by ticking the box at checkout. They apply together with our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Verification
School prices are available only to schools and licensed educational centres. Every school account is reviewed before school features and prices open. The Institution confirms that the details and documents it gives us (such as its Ministry of Education licence or commercial registration) are true, and will give updated documents on request. If the verification proves false, the Company may close the school account.
2. Licence and accounts
The Company gives the Institution a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to let its own enrolled students and teaching staff use each subject it subscribes to, for the period it has paid for. Each subject at each level is a separate licence. The Institution gets unlimited teacher accounts, bulk import of teachers and students, quiz assignment and school analytics. Accounts are for the Institution's current students and staff only and may not be resold, shared, or used for students of any other school, centre or private group.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are per subject, per student, per month, by tier, as published on the subscription page at the time of purchase: Foundation (20 to 49 students), Professional (50 to 199) and Enterprise (200 to 500). At least 20 students are charged per subject. Prices are in GBP and are paid online by card in advance, for the period chosen (monthly or an exam session). The Company does not accept cash, and nobody acting for the Company may collect cash or personal transfers. Prices do not include any taxes the Institution must pay under its own law.
4. Changing the number of students
If more students use a subject than the Institution has paid for, it upgrades that subject on the subscription page; the tier and price follow the new number of students. The number of students cannot be reduced during a paid period.
5. The Institution's responsibilities
The Institution keeps its student and teacher lists accurate, keeps passwords private and does not share logins, uses the platform only for its own teaching, and does not copy, scrape, export in bulk or republish platform content. Most students are minors: the Institution confirms it holds the parent or guardian consents that the law and its own policies require to create student accounts and to share students' names and results with the platform.
6. Our responsibilities
The Company provides access to each paid subject, help with onboarding (including bulk import), and support by e-mail or WhatsApp during business hours, replying within 2 business days. We work to keep the platform available, give advance notice of planned maintenance, and add new Cambridge past-paper series as they are released.
7. Content and independence
The platform, its software, explanations, analytics and compilations belong to the Company and its licensors. The Institution's own data (lists and results) remains the Institution's. Past-paper questions come from Cambridge Assessment International Education examination papers; A* Quiz is an independent practice platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cambridge. The platform is a practice and analytics aid and does not guarantee any exam result.
8. Data protection
Each party follows the data-protection law that applies to it (for the Company, UK GDPR; in Egypt, Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 where it applies). The Company uses student and teacher data only to run the platform for the Institution and never sells it. When the subscription ends, the Company deletes or returns the Institution's personal data on written request, except where the law requires us to keep it.
9. Renewal, ending and refunds
A subscription ends at the end of the paid period unless the Institution renews it on the subscription page, at the prices published at that time. Either party may end the subscription for a serious breach that is not fixed within 14 days of written notice. After it ends, the Institution may export its lists and results for 30 days. Paid periods are not refunded, except when the subscription ends because of a serious breach by the Company that was not fixed; then the unused part is refunded.
10. Liability and general terms
Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. The Company's total liability is limited to the amount the Institution paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited. The Company may update these terms; a new version applies from the next purchase or renewal, and the version accepted is recorded with each order. Notices may be given by e-mail. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
